CHUCK HOYT

Counselor

Chuck has served as a Christian Counselor in Bethel’s Christian Counseling Ministry since 1995 after having worked as an Educational Diagnostician in the Alamogordo Public Schools for 25 years. He has a B.S. in Education from the University of Nebraska and a M.A. in Psychology, Counseling & Guidance from the University of Colorado. Chuck is a licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor (LPC) and a Certified Domestic Violence Counselor (CDVC). He is a current member of the New Mexico Counselors Association, American Association of Christian Counselors, and the National Association of Forensic Counselors, and a retired member of the National Association of School Psychologists. Chuck is an active member of the Gideon’s International and the Alamogordo Police Chaplains. He and his wife, Carol, were married in 1959. They have four children, eleven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. The Hoyts have been members of Bethel Baptist Church since 1976. In addition to serving in the Christian Counseling Ministry for the last 20 years, Chuck has also served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher at Bethel.
